Lighting Controls Commissioning Engineer / £20k - £40k / London / Overtime + Company Car + Company Credit Card
This is a great opportunity for an engineer experienced with commissioning Lighting Controls systems, or someone with an electrical background with a strong interest in moving into Lighting Controls.
You will be working with a highly ambitious Lighting Controls Manufacturing company, that has been increasing it's turnover by over a third year on year for the last 5 years. In order to continue their fantastic growth story, they are looking to take on more engineers in order to install their high quality range of controls.
These controls are designed for a variety of different environments from Commercial, Architectural, and offices. These projects can range from small scale of a single room with a set of lights, to projects worth half a million pounds which may take several months of work. Your role will largely involve travelling to the site, and working alongside electricians and contractors in order to finish the final stages of the project. This involves ensuring that all the elements of the controls and wiring are laid out correctly, running diagnostic software to establish the programs are working, being able to fault find and diagnose issues. and reprogram software when necessary. As well as being involved in the final stages of new projects, you will also be maintaining and returning to previous project sites in order to ensure all programs and products are running smoothly.
It is crucial you are able to work well with the electricians and contractors that you will be meeting on site, correct any mistakes and find faults when needed while maintaining a positive working relationship.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to progress their career, whether that be moving into a Senior Commissioning Engineer role through training and development within the business, or even into a commercial or operations style role.
