Job Description

Quality Control Supervisor (Lighting) /  £25,000 - £30,000 / South East

We are currently working on an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, forward thinking, British manufacturer of Lighting.

This is an excellent role for somebody with a background in manufacturing (ideally lighting manufacture), overseeing quality and quality assurance processes.

The role will involve working in the manufacturing facility of the building, checking and tracking all products and components that come into the factory, as well as all completed products that are being sent out to customers. You will be taking a hands on approach, examining the products and checking them against technical documents, ensuring that they fully meet requirements to function.

Your role is absolutely vital to the business, as a manufacturer's reputation ultimately rests on the quality and reliability of their product range. You will be working with both the standard range of architectural lighting products, as well as the many bespoke specially made products the company provides for exciting projects such as restaurants and high end residential settings.

As well as checking the quality of the products themselves, you will also be in charge and have free reign to implement any and all processes and procedures into the business you see fit! This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for more responsibility, with an understanding and an eye for areas of improvement within the manufacturing process, making sure that any issues are identified and dealt with, and ensuring that they can be minimised or avoided in future.

This will also naturally involve monitoring of products and components from suppliers, and being able to speak to those suppliers when issues arise and ensure that they do not happen in future. You must be a strong communicator, able to have difficult conversations when needed, as well as work effectively with other departments within the business such as procurement, assembly, and sales.

Applicants must have a minimum of one year's experience working within manufacturing, with a strong understanding of quality assurance processes, and the motivation to be able to implement best practice!
