Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Lighting Designer to lead the lighting design department with three people reporting to you, for an exciting role based in the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody with several years’ worth of experience within lighting design, who is looking to be part of a great team and work in an environment where they can develop their long term career in the industry. 

You will be part of a positive, creative, forward thinking company with a strong and supportive team ethos, and which has been going through massive growth over the past few years and with solid plans for this to continue. Due to this success, the company has been recruiting on many levels, and is now looking for a senior level Schematic Lighting Designer to join the team. 

The role will involve training mentoring and developing a team of lighting designers. Working on exciting, dynamic projects for high end restaurants, hotels, museums and commercial offices working with both well-known and independent companies to create atmospheric and feature lighting for the space. You will be working within a close knit team of designers from mixed levels of experience, creating lighting design schematics and calculations, working on projects from start to finish and project managing both yourself and helping to oversee juniors within the team. 

Applying candidates must have several years’ experience creating lighting design schematics.! You should have a passion for working on varied and creative projects, and a confident and positive personality. It is important that you can work well not only with the other members within your team, but when dealing with clients in presenting your projects and maintaining those relationships.
