Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a product designer or manager with experience within the Lighting Industry, to take on an exciting role within a growing business.

The company is a dedicated lighting manufacturer, designing and building their wide range of high quality lighting products in house within the UK. This enables them to work with a clear vision, working closely with clients to understand their needs and to ensure quality is meeting their excellent standards.

You will be the key person responsible for both designing and managing the range of lighting products within the business. This will range from making small changes to existing products within the range, to completely new product development and bespoke products for specialist projects.

As well as designing the products themselves, you will also be responsible for all elements of the process from start to finish - ensuring that prototypes are made and tested, getting quotes for materials, placing orders and negotiating prices, and then working closely with other departments within the business such as sales and marketing so that they have a full understanding of the product and it's key selling points.

This role would be well suited either to a junior product design candidate, or an experienced product manager. A Junior candidate must have at least a year's worth of experience working designing lighting products within the industry, with a hardworking attitude and a passion to learn, looking to take on more responsibility. Full training and support will be given where needed. An experienced product manager will find they can hit the ground running in this role, with the opportunity to then grow a team down the line.

Applying candidates must be able to confidently use Solidworks and CAD softwares. Relux experience is a bonus, but is not required.
